Our client is one of the largest and oldest non-for-profit friendly societies in the UK and we are looking to recruit a Marketing Communications Officer to join their team in Manchester.

The Role This is an exciting role for an enthusiastic and creative individual who is looking to gain extensive hands on experience within marketing and communications.
As a Marketing Communications Officer you will be part of a small busy team working in several key areas including:
* Managing and maintenance of social media accounts * Online content creation and maintenance * Copy writing, proofing and co-ordinating a number of internal and external publications/marketing collateral * Writing and distributing press releases * Providing reference material and training support to Branch members * Supporting recruitment campaigns and retention initiatives.
You will also assist with marketing and communications activities you will also work closely with the internal events and design teams.
The Person We are looking for a Marketing Communications Officer with excellent writing and proofing communication skills, with a minimum 2 to 3 years experience in digital content, public relations and marketing or a relevant degree qualification. Experience of working with volunteers or in the not for profit or charitable sectors is desirable but not essential.
You must have a clean UK driving licence and will need to be organised and manage multiple projects simultaneously including:
* Managing Facebook and Twitter accounts * Writing press releases and responding to press enquiries * Researching and writing articles for website, newsletters and e-marketing content
The Package For this role of Marketing Communications Officer you will receive a salary of up to £23,000 per annum dependent upon experience.
