We have an excellent opportunity for a Radio Engineer to join our clients two-way radio communications team at one of Kent’s leading radio communications companies in Northfleet. Must have a full driving licence and a company van plus other benefits will be provided.

Our client is one of Kent's leading providers of two-way radios, radio systems, hire and repair services. Their wide range of two-way Radio equipment includes professional hand held radios, non licenced radios (446) / walkie talkies, bespoke engineered systems and radio accessories. Established in 1985, as a provider of professional sales and service of mobile radio communications systems, independent of main manufacturers they offer a complete service to new and existing users of mobile radio communication systems.
About the role
As a Radio Engineer, you will be working in the workshop preparing new radio equipment as well as testing and repairing customer radio equipment. You will also be working in the field visiting customer premises assessing suitable radio systems as well as diagnosing problems and your responsibilities will include:- Preparing and programming new radio equipment for customers
- Diagnosing, assessing, and repairing customer radio equipment both in the workshop and in the field
- Travelling to customer premises to perform coverage surveys to assess type and location of radio equipment
About you
To be successful for the role of Radio Engineer, a technical qualification in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science and an enthusiasm for science and technology would be advantageous however you must be/have:- A good knowledge of electronics and RF systems as well as a good working knowledge of computer systems including networks
- Good knowledge/experience of two-way radio systems including repeater systems
- Good knowledge/experience of electronics to component level
- Good knowledge/experience of IT including small networks
- Good problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Full Drivers licence
About the rewards
For the role of Radio Engineer, there is an excellent salary on offer of £28,000 to £33,000 per annum plus:- Company van
