We have an excellent opportunity for a friendly and experienced Field Care Supervisor to join the rapidly growing Care team at one of the largest providers of home care services across the UK. This is a hybrid role to cover the Northallerton, Thirsk and Easingwold area as well as working at the office in Ainderby Steeple, North Yorkshire. Shared company car is available during office hours.

About the role
As a Field Care Supervisor your responsibilities will include:

  • Recording emergency calls and pass the information to appropriate parties
  • Provide an excellent service to customers
  • Promote the rights of each customer and keep their wishes at the centre of their care and support
  • Make sure a full assessment of each customer’s needs and associated risks is carried out by the Customer Care Manager or Deputy Care Manager
  • Ensure the customer’s care plan is kept up to date with changing customer requirements
  • Agree the plan and appropriate risk control measures to reduce the risks
  • Taking part in the out of hours emergency on-call rota as and when required and effectively deal with emergency on-call issues e.g covering calls either directly or indirectly when care assistants are sick or absent
  • Effectively manage any complaints and incidents
  • Provide the customer, and where appropriate their representatives, with information about the service so that they are clear about what to expect and how they can raise any concerns
  • Apply excellent communication skills with customers, their families and representatives, staff and other health and social care professionals
  • Keep all information about customers, their representatives and their families secure and confidential except where policy requires you to share to protect the interests of our customers
  • Lead and manage staff
  • Identify ongoing training needs and make sure staff are up to date with current best practice
  • Ensure there are sufficient numbers of suitably qualified staff allocated appropriately to meet service needs at all times. Implement company policy and procedures in relation to managing absence, disciplinary, capability and grievance matters
  • Provide information, guidance and ongoing supervision to enable staff to effectively and safely carry out their roles
  • Carry out supervisions and monitoring of staff performance

About you
As a Field Care Supervisor, you must have a minimum of NVQ /QCF Level 3 or equivalent, or be working towards this qualification and you must have / be:

  • Compassionate, caring and patient
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Be comfortable with supporting with all aspects of personal care
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (company car available during office hours)
  • Passionate about providing care and support to individuals
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Personal integrity, a positive attitude towards team work, and flexibility in supporting your colleagues
  • Be organised and capable of managing your own workload and meeting deadlines
  • Have a good sense of humour!

About the rewards
As a Field Care Supervisor, you will work Monday to Friday and there is an excellent starting salary on offer of £25,000 to £28,000 per annum depending on experience which will be reviewed annually plus you will receive:
