We have an excellent opportunity to join a well established, reputable company as a Water / Mould Damage Technician.   Our client offers high-quality of customer care and service, using industry leading processes. They have introduced several industry-changing innovations, which are presently driving an expansion of the business. They generally work within the South-East from their base in London Borough of Havering but travel and works are undertaken to other parts of the UK.

They provide reliable and professional around the clock support services for dealing with all categories of water damage and mould   contamination issues.

About the role
In the role of Water / Mould DamageTechnician the key duties of this position are:

  • Emergency and routine attendance to deal with properties damaged by occurrences such as flooding and and mould growth
  • We can train you  to prepare scopes of work, conduct relevant tests, construct a plan for remediation, estimate the price of works, report writing,  complete inventories, set up, carry out and monitor the recovery process
  • When necessary, write detailed accurate reports and cost appraisals to update  and inform clients
  • Liaise with an array of people at all levels

About you
To be successful for the role of Water / Mould Damage Technician, you ideally will have:

  • GCSE English & Maths at grade C or above or equivalent
  • Relevant experience or background working in construction, industrial cleaning sector or another related profession such as damage management
  • Ideally 3 A-Levels at a grade B or above or a relevant degree in mycology, science or engineering
  • A full UK driving licence (manual vehicles)

About the hours & rewards
As a Water / Mould Damage Technician, your working hours will be 9am to 5pm daily and you may need to begin earlier and finish later than those hours in accordance with customer requirements.

Our client offers an out-of-hours service which means that you will sometimes need to be ‘on call’ to work on weekends, at night or on bank holidays for which you will receive enhanced rates of pay if called out. From time to time it will be necessary to travel to jobs within the UK and stay overnight due to distance.
