As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Nationwide Technical Sales Manager to join this renowned custom technology solutions company whose HQ is based in Wokingham however please note that this is a nationwide role with UK travel so we will accept applications from anywhere within the UK.

About the roleAs a Technical Sales Manager, you will report to the Departmental Business Manager and will be responsible for the business development activities of all Interconnect and Cabling solutions throughout the UK for new customer acquisition, existing account growth, technical design in and commercial account management. This is a nationwide role and your responsibiities willl include:
- Working closely with customers whilst identifying sales opportunities and following-up on activities to secure business
- Follow-up and develop business leads with new and existing customers
- Growth and Maintenance of CRM Opportunity pipeline working with customers through the design cycle
- Progressively developing new business opportunities
- Take ownership of client base to build a positive brand reputation
- Drive growth by ensuring that business and individual KPIs are met
- Provide accurate and detailed feedback and reports on sales activities to Line Manager
- Attend internal and external training courses as necessary to ensure knowledge remains up to date
- Timely management of any administrative duties including: Planning & Organising work schedule and set up of appointments / visits, Updating and maintaining database records and Forecasting, monitoring, and evaluating sales figures for the region
- Participate in Exhibitions, Sales meetings and other meetings as required
- Provide reports and attend regular meetings with Management to discuss progress to sales forecasts and activities to ensure objectives are being met
About you
To be successful for the role of Technical Sales Manager you must be / have:
- Design in Experience
- BDM skills set with a proactive mindset
- Commercially proficient
- Technically competent
- Sales and margin to budget responsibility
- Previous experience selling solutions within Target Markets including industrial and Military & Defence
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical / electrical engineering or qualified by experience
- Demonstratable and successful sales experience in a related role
- Technical knowledge of connectors
- An experienced negotiator
- Industrial / MilAero market knowledge
About the hours & rewards
As a Technical Sales Manager, your working hours will be 8.45am to 5pm Monday to Friday and you will receive an excellent salary of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum depending on experience plus:
