We have an excellent opportunity for a part-time Welfare / Care Coordinator to join one of the largest and oldest Friendly Societies in the UK to cover North London and the surrounding areas. This role is remote working with occasional visits to the North London Branch and members in the District area.

About the role
In the role of Welfare / Care Coordinator, you will:- Be the main point of contact for members regarding any welfare and care matter.
- Offer support directly, or with the help of volunteer Welfare Visitors
- Provide high quality care and welfare support to older and/or vulnerable people
- Carry out administrative tasks
- Develop and maintain records
- Submit reports
- Comply with relevant care and welfare requirements
About you
To be successful for the role of Welfare / Care Coordinator you will have / be:- The skills enjoy meeting new people
- Able to work alone, as well as being part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with sensitivity and patience with awide range of Members, who are from varied backgrounds and social circumstances
- Strong organisational skills
- Be able to work to deadlines without supervision
- Demonstrable problem solving skills
- Able to overcome challenges as they arise
- Some experience of working in health, social care or an advice based setting would be desirable.
- Some customer care knowledge, including some knowledge on how to access support from statutory and voluntary social care agencies
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet and Email applications

About the Hours/Rate of Pay
The role of Welfare / Care Coordinator is a part-time position for 16 hours per week (this is a permanent role, following a satisfactory probation period). The rate of pay on offer is £17.00 per hour.
