We have an excellent opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join this busy Sales & Marketing team at one of the UK’s leading installers of Soundproofing, Sound Absorption and Underfloor Heating solutions based in Preston, Lancashire.
Please note that this is a full time office based role in Preston, UK and is not a flexible working from home role so you must live within a commutable distance to be considered.

Our client is recognised as one of the leading installers of Soundproofing, Sound Absorption and Underfloor Heating solutions nationwide and have successfully supplied and installed soundproofing solutions. Recent projects include; Sound absorption in the form of acoustic spray plaster and acoustic flooring at Google HQ, London. Soundproofing at St. James Quarter, Edinburgh. Acoustic solutions for SoHo House, Manchester. Based in Preston at a 60,000 sq ft production, warehouse, office facility.
About the role
As a Key Account Manager, you will report to the Group Sales Director and your responsibilities will include:- Seeking new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with existing and previous customers
- Use marketing campaigns, construction portals and CRM data to cultivate relationships
- Ensure proper after-sales service
- Help boost sales and contribute to long-term business growth
- Targeting main-contractors & end-user clients you will focus your efforts on outreach, generating supply and install sales enquiries
- Your focus will be on either acoustic and underfloor heating systems or on sound absorption systems. From time to time crossover opportunities may present themselves
- Create opportunities within the building supply and install arena. Although supply only contracts will also be on your radar
- You will be the first point of contact with target customers. Building a positive relationship with them ensuring that you are able to present solutions to the clients needs. The scope of potential clients is a broad church, so understanding your target audience and how they operate is essential
About you

To be successful for the role of Key Account Manager, you must have previous experience developing leads from current clients, understanding the supply chain processes and you must be / have:- Client relationships that are already built within the main / sub contracting industry. It is these relationships that we want you to nurture and continue under the company
- Able to demonstrate your drive and hunger to take the lead and develop relationships
- Once these relationships have been formed, you must have the skill set to continue to ensure this business relationship is developed and grown, enabling Us to be the customers 'go to sub contractor' for Sound Absorption, Acoustic Flooring & Underfloor Heating requirements
- Have experience of managing a small team. You will be expected to work closely with the New Business Development team, encouraging them on how to attract more leads. Your role will be to take these leads and turn them into a potential clients/projects for our Estimating team to quote
- Pro-active business social media (LinkedIn) presence would be an attractive skill set we would expect you to posses
- Ability to establish ways in which you can present to new and existing clients, such as utilising case studies of appropriate projects etc
- Past work experience selling to Main contractors and end-users
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the application and requirements of the customer to identify the appropriate products / solutions
- Ability to work smart, research, identify and act on data
- Comfortable in a fast-paced enthusiastic environment
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Tenacious and a liking for cold calling
- Dealing with a wide range of order values
- Open-minded and willing to learn
- Able to demonstrate initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch
- Use a consultative selling approach to develop long term relationship
- Have outstanding networking skills across a variety of channels
- Passionate about technology, keeps up to date with the latest industry advances
- Able to provide summary findings and in-depth reports
- Have previous CRM, ABI or Glenigans, Microsoft and Google software experience

About the rewards
For the role of Key Account Manager, you will work 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and there is an excellent salary on offer of £26,000 to £30,000 per annum depending on your experience with an OTE of up to £38,000.
