We have an excellent opportunity for a Business Development Representative to join this busy Sales & Marketing team at one of the UK’s leading installers of Soundproofing, Sound Absorption and Underfloor Heating solutions based in Preston, Lancashire.
Please note that this is a full time office based role in Preston, UK and is not a flexible working from home role so you must live within a commutable distance to be considered.
About the company Our client is recognised as one of the leading installers of Soundproofing, Sound Absorption and Underfloor Heating solutions nationwide and have successfully supplied and installed soundproofing solutions. Recent projects include; Sound absorption in the form of acoustic spray plaster and acoustic flooring at Google HQ, London. Soundproofing at St. James Quarter, Edinburgh. Acoustic solutions for SoHo House, Manchester. Based in Preston at a 60,000 sq ft production, warehouse, office facility.
About the role As a Business Development Representative, you will report to the Group Sales Director, seeking new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers to help boost sales and contribute to the long-term business growth and your responsibilities will include:
Cultivating relationships with new and existing clients (B2B), from first contact until the project is won whilst ensuring excellent after-sales services
Targeting, main-contractors & end-user clients and focus your efforts on outreach, generating supply and install sales enquiries
One of two positions are available and so you will focus your efforts on either acoustic and underfloor heating systems or on sound absorption systems. From time to time crossover opportunities may present themselves
Creating opportunities within the building supply and install arena. Although supply only contracts will also be on your radar
Be the first point of contact with target clients. Building a positive relationship with them ensuring that you are able to present solutions to the clients needs. The scope of potential clients can be wide and varied, so understanding your target audience and how they operate is important
About you This is a full time office based role in Preston, UK. This is not a flexible working from home role and to be successful for the role of Business Development Representative, you must have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns, construction portals and CRM data and you must be / have:
Past work experience selling to Main contractors and end-users
Can demonstrate understanding the construction application and requirements of the customer and then identifying the appropriate products for the specific application
Ability to work smart, research, identify and act on data
Comfortable in a fast-paced enthusiastic environment
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Tenacious and a liking for cold calling
Dealing with a wide range of order values
Open-minded and willing to learn
Can demonstrate initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch
Can use a consultative selling approach to develop long term relationships
Has and demonstrates outstanding networking skills across a variety of channels
Passionate about technology, keeps up to date with the latest industry advances
Ability to provide, summary findings and in-depth reports
Have previous CRM, ABI or Glenigans, Microsoft and Google software experience

About the rewards For the role of Business Development Representative, you will work 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and there is an excellent salary on offer of £21,000 per annum plus an OTE of up to £26,000.
