At a time of rapid company growth, our client is seeking a Warehouse Production Assistant as they are expanding their warehouse and production capacity at their Castleford operation. The role will encompass both electrical/electronic duties as well as mechanical assembly and will suit an individual with a high attention to detail and a passion for working with technology.
About the role
We are searching for a Warehouse Production Assistant with the ability to help support our client’s with the day to day running of the warehouse, including shipping and picking of orders as well as being able to assemble and test their electronic transmission products to a high degree of quality and accuracy. Duties will include:- Day to day warehousing functions (shipping, picking & stock replenishment)
- Read and follow assembly drawings & instructions in written, drawn and verbal formats
- Assemble mechanical enclosures using hand tools
- Day to day management of their work area ensuring that all consumables are requested and replaced in a timely manner as required
- Perform basic functional tests to completed assemblies including operating PC based test systems (training provided) and record the results
About the hours & rewards
The role of Warehouse Production Assistant offers excellent career progression opportunities along with training to further expand your skill set. Salary and benefits include:- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
- A salary of £19.500 to £20,500 per annum, depending on experience
- 23 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 25 days after 2 years’ service)

About you
For the role of Warehouse Production Assistant, experience within a similar role would be desirable but not essential provided you can meet the job requirements and skills as listed below.- Strong effective communicator with a can-do attitude
- Highly developed teamwork skills
- A good degree of IT literacy to perform basic testing as well as recoding information to the company’s IT system
- Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and a hunger to improve methods, approaches, and not be afraid to bring new ideas to the role. A commitment to continuous learning would be valued and supported
- Excellent hand-eye co-ordination, patience, and a keen eye for detail
- Capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment
- Capacity to learn new skills and deploy them effectively
- Understanding of health & safety within a production lab environment
