About the role
The position of Maintenance Supervisor has two main purposes: firstly to plan the preventative maintenance programme for the company and deal with arising interventions utilising internal and external resources; secondly to manage and develop the maintenance team of mechanical and electrical technicians to enable effective maintenance of the equipment to support operational uptime.
About the job duties, responsibilities and accountabilities:
As Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for:- The daily supervision and development of the Maintenance team
- Ensuring the direct team and deployed contractors comply with all H,S & E rules of the site
- Developing new and maintain existing effective preventive maintenance programmes
- Planning the maintenance programme with efficient deployment of personnel in line with operational needs
- Being accountable for the Maintenance team achieving KPIs and Team Goals
- Conduct regular individual maintenance team members performance reviews and goals
- Maintaining consistent and effective communication with internal customers on planned maintenance, repairs and expected completion dates
- Communicating new or revised company objectives to the maintenance team
- Setting up a critical parts store and maintain stock levels
- Assists in identified parts deficiencies and helps to prevent further recurrences
- Allocating maintenance tasks, running reports and monitoring assets through an online asset management system
- Managing, monitoring and developing a key asset improvement and efficiency programme.
- Mentoring and developing key job skills with any maintenance apprentices at any given time
About the rewards
In the role of Maintenance Supervisor, you will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07.45 - 16.15 and Friday 07.45 - 12.45. There is a salary on offer of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum depending on experience. Benefits include:- 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays with the opportunity to buy or sell up to 5 holidays

About you
To be successful for the role of Maintenance Supervisor, the following abilities are required:
Qualifications- Relevant Engineering Apprenticeship
- NVQ level 2 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or BTEC level 2 Extended certificate in Engineering
- BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Engineering or NVQ level 3 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Desirable)
Experience
