Enveco NW Environmental Services require an experienced and enthusiastic Team Leader / Mechanic to help manage the vehicle maintenance service based at our Layton Depot in Blackpool. A full job specification will be sent to you on application.
About the role
As Team Leader / Mechanic, you will:- Oversee the mechanics undertaking the servicing, repairs and MOT’s/Taxi Testing in relation to Enveco and Blackpool Council’s vehicles and plant fleet
- Liaise with parts suppliers
- Be responsible for the completed work and compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements of the Enveco and council fleets and CVMU workshop
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the CVMU mechanical workforce
- Identification/ordering of parts required to complete work carried out by CVMU
- Identification of technical and potential technical issues
- Manage the CVMU requirements of parts, MOT’s and specialist contractors
- Review staff requirements to meet work load demands and efficiencies
- Undertake service, repair and MOT work as required
- Assist the Fleet Manager with MOT Quality Controls

About you
To be successful for the role of Team Leader / Mechanic, you must have / be:- City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- MOT testing certificate
- Experience working in a busy commercial vehicle maintenance centre
