Description

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Administrator / Office Coordinator to join this award-winning people-focused construction consultancy and contribute to the smooth running of their Norwich office. 

Please note that this is an office-based role and the hours are 9am to 5.30pm and flexible / part time hours will be considered.

About the role
As Administrator / Office Coordinator you will be keeping the office, building and team running smoothly, working alongside the surveying team by providing the following support:

  • Answering the phones and providing a friendly, efficient first port of call
  • Setting up new projects
  • Updating financial information (fee forecasts etc)
  • Producing and issuing monthly invoices
  • Chasing outstanding debt
  • Typing of correspondence and reports
  • Monitoring Norwich office email account
  • Compiling information for tenders and bids
  • Organising corporate and social events for the Norwich office
  • Assisting with ISO compliance (health and safety, audits etc)
  • Maintaining local office facilities and equipment
  • Ordering the stationery and office consumables
  • Co-ordinating IT and telecoms queries for the Norwich office
  • Petty cash accounting
  • Managing the facilities and maintenance
  • Liaising with the tenants
  • Producing and issuing invoices for tenants
  • Approving supplier invoices
  • Maintaining stocks of washroom consumables for the building
  • Taking regular meter readings
  • Completing the quarterly VAT return
  • Any other tasks to contribute to the smooth running of the team and building

About the hours and rewards
In the role of Administrator / Office Coordinator the hours are 9am to 5.30pm and flexible / part time hours will be considered. The package on offer is:

  • A salary of £23,000 to £25,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience
  • 21 days holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays and compulsory 4-day closure over Christmas

About you
As an Administrator / Office Coordinator, you need to be an experienced administrator who can contribute to the smooth running of the office. You will be proactive, keen and organised. As the first point of contact you will have a welcoming and confident telephone manner.

Key attributes required are:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • An eye for detail and be good with numbers
  • Proactive (if something needs doing, just do it)
  • Organised
  • Polite and confident telephone manner
  • Numerate
  • Good standard of English
