Our client is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a competent, construction-focused professional who wants to work with a forward-thinking consultancy delivering practical, commercially aware health and safety support across a diverse client base.
This is a self-employed part-time role for 2-3 days per week, paying to £350 per day + travel contribution. You will be travelling to client sites across South East England (London / Home Counties / South Coast).
About the role
As a Health & Safety Consultant, you will support clients across London, the Home Counties and the South Coast, delivering hands-on safety leadership and compliance support. This role requires a commitment of two days or three days per week on a self-employed basis.
Key responsibilities:- Carrying out site safety inspections and audits
- Attending and contributing to safety meetings
- Developing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Preparing Construction Phase Plans
- Conducting accident and incident investigations
- Providing clear, practical health and safety advice to clients
- Supporting clients with ongoing compliance and best practice
Essential experience
- Proven experience within the construction sector
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region
