We are looking for dynamic and inspirational Residential Child Care Support Workers to join our clients’ growing team in Pontefract. Opportunities also available in Eggborough, Doncaster, Barnsley and Wakefield.

About the role
In the role of Support Worker, you will:- Promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of their young people
- Establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with their young people
- Encourage the development of individual interests of their young people
- A desire to learn – they provide full training for you to achieve a Childcare Diploma level 3
About you
To be successful for the role of Support Worker you will:- Understanding and commitment to the role - including weekends and bank holidays.
- Undertake sleep-in duties as part of a flexible rota.
- Participating in activities and ensuring we provide young people with a place they feel at home
- Be capable of working on your own initiative
- Have good inter-personal skills and be a positive team player
- A desire to engage, motivate and encourage the young people in our homes
Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable is desired but not essential. Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check at enhanced level.
About the hours & rewards
There are full time and part time positions available for the role of Support Worker and there is a salary on offer of £26,450 to £28,915 per annum, pro rata. The salary is dependent on experience and qualification, includes sleep in shift and company pension contributions. Benefits include:- Meals included
