We have an excellent opportunity for a Pathways Manager in a full-time hybrid role working 35 hours per week. This is to join the Sector Development / Professional Services team at the UK’s library and information association and only chartered body in the world dedicated to uniting, supporting and advocating for information professionals and librarians based in Bloomsbury, London. About the role
As a Pathways Manager, you will work with the Professional Services Development Manager to grow as the leading provider of quality assessment services. You will contribute to the charities ambitions for growth by enabling us to deliver a high-quality, reliable service which builds new connections with our community.
The role will also contribute to the performance and other targets, enhancing awareness of and engagement as a professional services provider. Whilst ensuring that they meet their commitments to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion across their assessment work, you will also contribute insight, data and knowledge into the overall process of developing and improving the charities work. As a Pathways Manager, your responsibilities will include:- Developing and managing assessment resources and guidance
- Identifying and scoping development opportunities
- Supporting the development and implementation of new assessment services
- Line manage the Pathways Officer role
- Oversee all administrative elements of assessment delivery to ensure compliance and timelines
- Oversee the administrative support to the Board
- Manage the relationship with key stakeholders including assessment candidates, training providers, the Pathways Board and the Independent Assessors
- Take on the role of the Responsible Officer for management of communications with the regulator, Ofqual escalating matters when needed to the Head of Sector Development (HOSD)
- Work with the Head of Sector Development to plan and deliver training for the apprenticeship Independent Assessors
- Ensure all activities meet the internal and external quality assurance measures and requirements
- Manage the records and reporting of Pathways
- Promote the charity as the best choice for end point assessment service for the appropriate standards
- Support the ongoing recruitment of assessors to meet the business needs
- Oversee the approval of the apprentices’ project proposals in line with the assessment requirements
About you
As a Pathways Manager, you must have experience of leading Apprenticeship or similar assessment services and working in a regulated industry or environment and be / have:- Ability to work well under own direction or as part of a team
- Methodical approach with an excellent eye for detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good IT/digital skills
- A positive, can-do attitude, a creative problem-solver with an organised approach
- Flexibility and the willingness to get involved in a range of activities
- Be proactive in monitoring performance and sharing knowledge
- Be curious and enthusiastic about new technology and have a commitment to the culture and process for individual and team development

About the hours & rewards
The position of Pathways Manager is a full-time hybrid role working 35 hours per week and paying £36,806 per annum London Weighting and £32,477 for outside London. Plus you will receive:- Excellent Pension Scheme and Life Assurance
