Description

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Practice Manager to join this award-winning, people-focused construction consultancy and contribute to the smooth running of the practice.

About the company
Established in 1946, our client operates from offices in London, Colchester and Norwich and are an experienced and enthusiastic team of Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Building Surveyors & Health & Safety Advisors offering a wide range of specialist skills to clients throughout the UK.

About the role
As a Practice Manager, you will support and contribute to the day-to-day delivery of the business and administrative functions.  Your responsibilities will include:

  • HR co-ordination and administration including recruitment and onboarding
  • People and wellbeing - building and maintaining relationships across the Practice with regular visits to each office (London, Colchester, and Norwich)
  • Reviewing, maintaining, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
  • Financial and data analysis, analysing and providing reports from the Practice Management Software (Rapport)
  • Maintaining the company intranet and suite of templates
  • Partner support, attending and minuting partner meetings
  • Ensuring the best value is achieved with suppliers
  • Insurances, assisting with renewals. Maintaining the PI and sub-consultant registers
  • ISO Audits, managing the annual audit process and ensuring compliance
  • Identifying and reviewing tender opportunities. Assisting in the completion of Bids and PQQs
  • Maintaining accreditations (Achilles, CHAS, Constructionline)
  • Liaising with the IT support provider to ensure the Practice IT systems run smoothly
  • Assisting with the monitoring and delivery of the Carbon Reduction Programme
  • Organising and managing Practice events

About the person
We are looking for a proactive, organised, analytical, people focussed Practice Manager with previous experience in a similar role.

About the hours & rewards
For the role of Practice Manager, you will work 37.5 hours per week, and you will receive an excellent salary circa. £40,000 per annum depending on experience plus:

  • 21 days holiday plus bank holidays and compulsory 4-day closure over Christmas
