Description

As our client approaches its 25th anniversary, they seek an inspirational, ultra-pragmatic and commercially minded Chief Executive Officer to lead from the front and drive their Charity to its next phase of development and beyond! This is for one of the UK's leading national children’s charities in a state of the art building in Newcastle under Lyme.   A full job specification will be sent to you on application.

About the role
Our client’s ambitions are not for the faint hearted as they aim to change lives, change society and change charity.  They aspire to be transformative within the sector and aim to support as many children and families as possible.  They recognise that this is only achievable by strong growth driven by clear, positive and compassionate leadership.  Main responsibilities will include to:

  • Serve as the Charity’s figure head both internally and externally
  • Lead, present and influence at local level, in Parliament and in the highest social and governmental echelons
  • Identify, generate and create opportunities, developing a robust and diverse fundraising portfolio across diverse income lines to support the Charity’s expanding service delivery.
  • Drive income growth from individual, corporate and community supporters by sharing the work of the Charity and motivating groups to support their vision
  • Strategic management and development of the Charity’s income generation, playing a pivotal part in taking the Charity to the next level.
  • Provide a nurturing and supportive environment for both employees and service beneficiaries

About the rewards
The role of Chief Executive Officer offers:

  • A salary circa £120,000 basic depending on experience
  • Up to 50% bonus
  • Car allowance.

About you
Our client is seeking to partner with a truly exceptional strategic, yet hands-on leader, who brings an outstanding commercial track record that could have been gained from within a range of sectors such as Consumer, Technology, Financial Services, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Social Enterprise, Not for Profit or the broader business world.  Regardless of your sector back-ground you will need to:

  • Be an innovator and a proven champion of partnerships/collaborations that have made a significant impact in maximising both revenue and bottom line
  • Possess a demonstrable track record of sustained commercial success, growth and innovation.
  • Be recognised as a pioneering leader with unapparelled levels of tenacity, passion and determination to win

Essential Criteria

  • Significant and repeated experience in growing businesses and organisations.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and inspiring leader with a proven track record of creating, managing and retaining high performing teams
  • The skills to coach, inspire and mentor teams to achieve exceptional levels of performance
