About the role
In the position of CNC Machine Operator you will be:- Operating the CNC Machining Centre with Siemens control, CNC Lathe with Mitsubishi control
- Producing quality products in a safe and controlled manner, meeting all quality specifications whilst satisfying productivity requirements and in compliance with engineering drawings and associated specifications
- Ensuring that equipment is maintained, relevant records are up to date and that all processes work effectively to ensure that the business can fulfil its aims
About the job duties, responsibilities and accountabilities:
As CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:- Setting and programming of various CNC Machines. ( DMG - DMF360 , DMG - NLX3000)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings (both metric and imperial)
- Create, download, edit, archive, read and interpret CNC programs
- Ability to understand CADCAM systems
- Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate tooling and ability to select the correct speeds and feeds
- Inspection and recording of all relevant dimensions in accordance with the engineering drawing and documentation pack
- Completion of all inspection documentation
- Demonstrate engagement with other Team Members
- Conduct daily preventive maintenance checks on machinery and equipment
- Flexibility to work shifts and overtime
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, and lead by example to ensure company goals are achieved and exceeded
About the rewards
In the role of CNC Machine Operator, you will work 37 hours per week and the shifts are:Monday to Thursday 06:30 - 16:15 (Days)
Monday to Thursday 16:15 - 02:00 (Nights) may be required and the night shift benefits from a 23% premium
Overtime rates are x 1.33 Monday to Friday, x 1.5 on Saturday and x 2.0 on Sunday.
There is a salary on offer of up to £36,200 per annum depending on experience and benefits include:

About you
To be successful for the role of CNC Machine Operator, the following abilities are required:
Qualifications- Engineering Apprenticeship and Qualification (NVQ level 3)
- NVQ Level 3 Literacy and Numeracy
- Good IT skills
- Experience of working within an Engineering environment

- Organisational and planning skills and have the ability to manage and prioritise workload whilst maintaining flexibility and achieving tight deadlines to meet business needs
- Ability to confidently liaise with stakeholders at all levels to build and manage positive relationships at varying levels of seniority
