We have an excellent opportunity for a Engagement and Outreach Coordinator within a charity that provides business support to young people in London by providing dedicated business coaches, workshops, one to one sessions, tailored business programmes, spaces to test trade from and business mentoring. About the company
Our client transforms young lives through enterprise by offering holistic and personalised business guidance and support to in-need marginalised young entrepreneurs across London, aged 16 to 30 through workshops, programmes and 1:1 business coaching. They work in collaboration with young people to enable them to start their own business or move into employment or/and education and training. They aim to develop approaches that empower, support and encourage young people to build confidence, follow their aspirations and fulfil their potential.
About the role
This key role of Engagement and Outreach Coordinator requires a pro-active person to take the lead in the recruitment of the young entrepreneurs. This will involve building sustainable partnerships with other organisations which are already supporting young people who are Not in Education or Employment (NEETs) but do not necessarily offer a pathway into enterprise. The objective is to establish and build on our referral system and will build on the numbers of NEETs engaging with the programme.
About the responsibilities
In the role of Engagement and Outreach Coordinator duties include:- Be the main driver of the recruitment of young people for various company Works Programmes
- Supporting the design process and delivering bespoke events and other interventions to engage their stakeholders
- Work alongside the Community Impact Manager to plan events to meet their community asset strategic objective
- Promote projects/Programmes across youth centres and clubs, schools, colleges, and the general public through research and delivery of targeted advertising and marketing
- Deliver outreach and engagement sessions at schools, colleges and youth centres across London (with a primary focus on Wandsworth, Southwark, Lambeth and Croydon)
- Support the Community Impact Manager and Operations Manager to coordinate activities and events that promote engagement and awareness of the work we do across the business
- Support the Marketing Coordinator communication and social media channels to reach young people
- Working in partnership with like-minded organisations as appropriate relationships to develop joint projects that respond to the needs of diverse communities
- Recording stakeholder engagement in the organisation’s CRM
- Contributing to internal and external reporting as required
About you
To be successful for the role of Engagement and Outreach Coordinator, you will ideally have / be:- Experience in planning and organising day, evening and weekend meetups for young people
- Proven ability to build positive partnerships with key professional agencies or other youth work providers
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to encourage other young people and help them to develop their own ideas
- Ability to support other members of staff with the delivery of the work
About the hours & rewards
For the role of Engagement and Outreach Coordinator, there is a salary on offer of £22,000 to £24,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include:- 25 days Annual Leave plus bank holidays
