About the company
Our client and the Nottinghamshire CCG are working together to deliver an Emotional Wellbeing Early Support Service for Children and Young People. This transformative service will play a central role in system change, bringing previously separate services into one service, supporting children and young people to experience good mental health and emotional wellbeing by providing timely, integrated, high quality and accessible multi-disciplinary support that is accessible and flexible based on individual need.
About the role
As Service Manager, you will manage the daily operations of the Emotional Wellbeing Early Support Service for Children and Young People. As a key operational role, you will support the team through:- Supporting and directing staff (paid and voluntary) to ensure the process of transition by young people to or from other services is undertaken in an appropriate and timely way lead, promote and a deliver an innovative service, ensuring equitable provision
- Develop and evolve the service, co-produced with service users to continuously meet the changing needs of local people, communities, stakeholders and commissioners
- Develop and maintain internal standard operating procedures, and to establish and update referral routes into and out of the service
- Ensure the safeguarding of young people and children is paramount for all staff and that they act accordingly within ABL Policy and Procedures
- Ensure that risk assessments, risk registers and cases are prioritised following safeguarding protocols
- Deliver an outcomes-based service delivery model, achieving and exceeding KPIs, ensuring effective allocation of resources and being responsive to service user, partner, and commissioner feedback
- Ensure all monitoring and records are kept up to date, secure and used appropriately, and provide information, qualitative and quantitative data and reporting in a timely manner
- Attend management meetings, team meetings, performance review boards, and external steering groups for children and young people services
- Attend and manage regular supervisory sessions with all staff and volunteers you have responsibility for, providing any training as necessary
- Provide leadership and support to a team including counsellors in a fast-paced environment
About the responsibilities
The Service Manager is a senior role working under the line management of Medical Director and you will support the direct reporting to the performance board. The role will be varied, challenging and rewarding as you lead the service through implementation, delivery and ongoing innovation and service development.
About you
To be successful in the role of Service Manager you must have / be:- An experienced service manager within CYP / mental health services, knowledgeable in evolving and developing services within a complex health system in a co-produced way
- An experienced people manager, including paid staff, volunteers, and trainees, a positive and proactive leader with the ability to motivate, engage and support delivery teams to achieve the highest standards and outcomes
- People powered Bold Effective Thoughtful - doing this by supporting people to become active participants in their health
- A strategic thinker, able to foresee and take action to deal with problems and opportunities
- An adept communicator who adapts the message to fit the needs of the audience, with the ability to build strong relationships fostering trust and cooperation among colleagues, stakeholders, and community leaders
- Results-orientated naturally seeking quantitative goals and actively aiming to outperform them Passionate about improving Children and Young People’s emotional wellbeing
About the rewards
For the role of Service Manager there you will work 40 hours per week and there is a competitive salary on offer of £30,000 to £35,000 per annum. Benefits include:- 33 days annual leave, inclusive of Bank Holidays (increasing annual leave dependent on length of service)
